Lang Tengah Island

Lang Tengah Island (Pulau Lang Tengah)

Sandwiched between Redang and Perhentian, the cosy Lang Tengah Island is a good choice for a quieter dive holiday. Most of the resorts on Lang Tengah have in-house dive centres, making it a popular choice among divers. Its close proximity to the fabulous dive sites of Redang and Perhentian islands also give divers convenient access to some of the best dive sites in the east coast. There are 15 dive sites around the island which average about 22m in depth. One site you must not miss is Yellow Reef, which descends 25m down, punctuated by crevices where nurse sharks sometimes hide. Those lucky enough can spot guitar sharks – one of the main attractions here – around July.

Lang Tengah Island lies in the middle of Malaysia's foremost Marine Park sanctuary where living corals and endangered species of marine life are protected. Situated between Redang in the south and Perhentian in the north, Lang Tengah's coast is nature's well-kept secret. Crystal-clear water, pristine beaches and untouched tropical jungle. It's arresting beauty lingers forever in your memory. An island you can call your own.. private and tranquil. Best time to be here is between March to October.

Take a stroll along the whitewashed, sandy beaches or bath in the sun for that coveted golden tan. Explore the wonders of nature, and you'll be surprised of what you'll discover. Whatever you do, a stay at Lang Tengah will truly be an enjoyable one!

The shallow house reef in front of Square Point Resort was covered mainly with staghorn coral, and provides opportunities to spot adult blacktip reef sharks which frequent the shallow areas of the reef. There is a clear reef edge marked by surface buoys, where the bottom sloped away quickly into deeper blue waters.

Pulau Lang Tengah (Lang Tengah Island) is one of the best diving spot in Malaysia. Divers can choose from over 15 dive sites around Land Tengah Island all within 10 minutes boat ride from each other. These include Karang Nibong Laut's mounds made of rocks where bamboo sharks lie in rest, and Terumbu Kuning (25m) which is made of a formation of rocks, where you can find nurse sharks, and a host of other marine life including gobies and nudibranch.
